Police Surgeries – to report crime or seek help and advice – continue on Fridays or Saturdays        through the Autumn. Ask in the library for a list of dates and times.  

The  Safer Neighbourhood Team meets in the library every three months, to talk about crime and               related issues in the Preston Road area. All local residents welcome. For dates and more information, see twitter @MPSPreston or email prestonwardsnt@gmail.com  .

October 5th: 3:30pm to 5pm: National Poetry Day

October 22: 7.30pm in The Preston pub – fundraising quiz

October 30: 6.30pm. Elisa Segrave talks about her book ‘The Girl from Station X’ – a moving story of a hidden life about her mother, among the first women to enlist, who worked throughout WW2 at Bletchley Park and elsewhere.

November 26: 7.30pm in The Preston pub – our regular quiz

December 16: PCL Christmas Party with the Silvertones band  at the Windermere Pub

 

FILM CLUB

We show films at the library most Saturday nights. We also plan to show films for children during the summer holidays – details will be available later in July. Films are free to our library members [join at the door], but donations are encouraged to finance future films. Pick up a film programme in the library.
