Pub Quiz back by popular demand!

Following the stonking success of our inaugural Preston Pub Quiz on June 6, Preston Campaign have organised the sequel for July 4. It’s £5 per person and £3 concessions, bring your team if you are still talking to them!

Mon 4 July – 7.30pm (for an 8pm start sharp!)
Preston Pub, opposite the library.

It’s EVENT DAY, so walk or use public transport as the car park may well fill up. Tube: Preston Road or South Kenton and Buses 204, 79 and 223 all stop right outside.

Check out our EVENTS page for all our summer fundraisers – there is something for everyone.

More Events!

Following the hugely successful STAND UP FOR LIBRARIES comedy event and our near-mythical Pub Quiz in June, the summer is just beginning. There are summer fairs, another Pub Quiz on Monday 4 July and more events organised by our partner campaigns. See the updated events page for more details – there are some beauties.

If you can’t make any of these, put your hand in your pocket and pull out a crisp banknote. We will be meeting in the library on Saturday at 10am.

The fact is that this library will not stay open without this important legal challenge. The council decided to go ahead with closure despite all the evidence and all the anger in the community. It is time to get serious. So help us out.

You can also have Save Preston Library sign put up in your front garden. Every board raises £5 for the campaign courtesy of Salter McGuiness.  Details here.

Photos to come.

Salter McGuiness to donate £5 per board

A great way to help us save your library. Estate agent, Salter McGuiness will give us £5 for every board that goes up in people’d front gardens. You only have to allow it in your garden, and they will donate the money. Easy!
